We are seeking a proactive and technically adept Application Support & DevOps Engineer to join our Operations and Infrastructure Team. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of our trading platforms. Role Overview
This role is a unique blend of application support, DevOps engineering, and systems automation. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, containerization, and ongoing production support of our trading platforms. You will work closely with development teams to streamline deployment processes, build automation tools, and ensure that our systems are resilient, scalable, and highly available.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Linux systems, scripting, databases, and containerization technologies. You should be comfortable working under pressure, troubleshooting complex production issues, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Configuration
- Install, configure, and maintain trading platform components across development, staging, and production environments
- Manage system configurations using infrastructure-as-code principles
- Ensure consistent and reproducible deployments across environments
Containerization & Orchestration
- Build, manage, and optimize Docker containers for various platform services
- Implement container orchestration using Docker Compose and Kubernetes
- Maintain container registries and ensure secure image management
Production Support
- Provide L2/L3 production support for trading platforms, ensuring 24/7 system availability during market hours
- Monitor system health, performance, and reliability using observability tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents with minimal downtime
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support when required
DevOps & Automation
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment
- Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline operational tasks
- Implement infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions
- Continuously improve deployment processes to reduce manual intervention
Tooling & Reporting
- Develop and maintain internal tooling for system management, monitoring, and reporting
- Generate operational reports on system performance, uptime, and incident resolution
- Build dashboards for real-time visibility into platform health
- Automate reporting workflows for internal and client-facing requirements
Collaboration
- Work closely with development teams to ensure operational requirements are considered during the development lifecycle
- Participate in post-incident reviews and contribute to root cause analysis
- Document system architectures, operational procedures, and runbooks

- Experience with cloud technologies.

Experience and Educational Qualification
- Strong proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, and scripting
- Solid experience with Linux system administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) for automation tasks
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) – writing queries, performance tuning, and database administration
- Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization
- Understanding of build processes and tools (Make, CMake, or similar)
- Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in application support, DevOps, or systems engineering
